April 1988 Fuji factory started its operation.

October Okayama factory started its operation.
December 1990 Akita factory started its operation.
January 1991 Korea Fimatec was established through the joint venture with Korea Electrothermics Industry and Sumitomo Cement Co., Ltd.
1992 Started providing technical assistance for PT. FINEXCO PRIMA, Indonesia.
April 1993 FINEXCO started its factory operation in Surabaya.
April 1994 Capital was doubled to 120 million yen.
Capital participation by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation.

January 1997 Specialty Minerals FMT Ltd. was established through the joint venture with Minerals Technologies Inc., USA, and Mitsubishi Corporation.
November Fimaken India, Ltd. was established in Udaipur, India, through the joint venture with Wolkem India Ltd, India.
August 1998 Third-party allocation of shares to Nihon Cement Co., Ltd. and other companies.

June 2000 Shiraoi factory of Specialty Minerals FMT Ltd. started its operation.
July 2002 The ISO 9001:2000 certification was simultaneously awarded for the headquarters and four factories.
August 2003 Fimatec Georgia Representative Office was opened in the USA.
October 2005 Merged with JMC Co., Ltd.
July 2006 Acquired the domestic distribution agent right from Specialty Minerals, Inc. for its PCC and Talc products, and started sales activities.
January 2009 Acquired the import exclusive agent right from Ecosynthetix B.V. for its Biolatex products, and started sales activities.
September 2009 Head office was moved to Toranomon.
December 2012 Soma gypsum grinding plant started its operation.
April 2015 Made investment to increase production capacity for powder product "AFF".
July Fimatec Malaysia Representative office was opened in Malaysia.
February 2016 Head Office was moved to Kanda Awajicho.
March 2016 Acquired the domestic distribution agent right from APPLIED MINERALS INC. for its Halloysite and started sales activities.
